Hello! My name is Saori, I will be going over to Jinotega, Nicaragua to do infection control work in fall 2012 as JOCV( Japanese ver. of US Peace Corps). I was trying to find some information about Jinotega and found your blog! My background is Nursing so I believe we have something in common :)How long are you going to be over there?
Hey! That is so exciting. I love Jinotega. It really a beautiful place. The people are really open and friendly. The climate is cool and fresh. You will love it.
I am actually closing up my service within the next month. I leave country on April 1st. I wish I could have gotten to know you.
There is another Peace Corps Volunteer in town though who you should get to know. She is a nurse as well focusing her work on child and maternal health. When you get to Jinotega, pass by the Casa Materna. She works there.
